Stacey Stewart, Be Empowered Birth and Parenting

I’m Stacey and I am the owner and founder of Be Empowered Birth and Parenting Pty Ltd. I live in the beautiful town of Mirboo North in Gippsland with my husband and 2 children. Both of my children were born at home after I became a midwife, and these two incredible, empowering experiences solidified for me that private midwifery was where my heart and future lay! I am a laid back and nurturing person, who will fiercely defend a woman’s right to make her own choices in life, pregnancy, labour and birth. My role as a private midwife is to work with pregnant women, supporting them to make informed decisions throughout their pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum journey.

I am an Endorsed Midwife who gained initial registration in 2015 and I have worked at a number of settings across Victoria including public, private, tertiary and regional hospitals. I have been attending homebirths with endorsed midwives for a number of years now and received my Endorsement in 2023. I offer homebirth services, hospital birth support (as a non-medical support role only) and pregnancy/postpartum care across Gippsland, including South Gippsland Shire, Latrobe City Shire, Wellington Shire and Baw Baw Shire. I also run group childbirth and parenting classes in Traralgon, hire Elle TENS machines and have a small online shop with a carefully curated selection of pregnancy, birth and postpartum items in stock.

I run a weekly clinic in the beautiful rooms of Cocoon Acupuncture in Traralgon or have the option for home appointments with a travel fee charged depending on distance.
